Has taught game-related courses at a few universities and graduate schools, run game columns in a few magazines and newspapers, and written a few books on games—though has bought far more than that. Consulted for developers on game production and publishing, ended up serving as a game company CEO toward the end, and is now retired. Lives not as a game critic, game studies professor, game consultant, or game company CEO, but simply as "someone who really loves games."
