A game researcher. Game-playing goes back quite a long way, but the first encounter with game studies came by chance, through a game course taken at the Graduate School of Communication at Yonsei University. Since graduating, has carried out research and writing centered on game history and culture, here and there. Contributed to The History of Games, The Theory of Games, and Mario, Born in '81, among others.
