First encountered the Goldstar FC-150 and the Famicom at a friend's house back in "elementary school" days, and got into computers with an Apple II+ compatible machine. After spending middle and high school as a 16-bit PC gamer, switched to home console gaming upon discovering the PlayStation, picking up English and Japanese reading skills through games along the way. Since 2002 to the present, has worked as senior reporter for the monthly GAMER'Z at Game Culture Inc. Wishes to reconstruct the trajectory of the early days of Korean games in the 1980s and 90s into text.
Books include The History of Korean Games and The Korean PC Games We Loved (both co-authored); editorial supervision includes Prince of Persia: Development Diary and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 & 4 Official Materials Collection. Since 2019, has been translating and supervising the Korean editions of the Perfect Catalogue series, mook volumes that explicate the hardware and software of retro game consoles. The latest titles are Famicom Perfect Catalogue and Sega Early Consoles + GamBoy Perfect Catalogue* (forthcoming).
